    great tablet

0 4/5 Patricia Broussard - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Samsung Galaxy Tab SCH-I800 3G Tablet Verizon (Electronics) It's a good tablet for when your traveling and you don't have internet access where your going. The con's to this is the apps, there's not as many apps available for the tablet and half of them freezes up the tablet and it has to be rebooted to get it working again. otherwise, if you don't use apps, its good for the internet useage. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , January 14, 2013

    Samsung SCH-i800

0 4/5 PCDuck "PCDuck" (CA, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Samsung Galaxy Tab SCH-I800 3G Tablet Verizon (Electronics) The original OS is Froyo (android 2.2) which is totally a lame OS. You can root the tab and upgrade it to android 4.0.4 CY9. It is not perfect but works pretty well. The tablet has only 2Gig storage and you can use an external MicroSD card like 16 or 32Gig. Make sure it is class 10 though. Otherwise it will be slow. For being 7" is kind of heavy but sturdy. Everything works but not as fast as TAB2. In general it is a decent tablet. How much is it worth? I would say whatever Tab 2 costs subtract $100. This is a fair price for a two year old model. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , June 24, 2012

Went from an iPad 1 to Galaxy Tab 2 and love it

So this device just came out this morning, and I hadn't planned on buying it but I was down at my local best buy store and played with it just to see what it was and loved it! Let me say I used to have all apple stuff, apple computer, iphone, ipad, etc. Over the last year my apples have rotted, went bad and needed to be replaced. Instead of paying high dollar for all new apple stuff I went back to a windows PC, an Andorid Galaxy S2 phone, still had the iPad but it was in need of replacement. So I got to Best Buy they didn't have these out yet but they pulled one out and let me play with it while they set up the are for the demo unit to go. I liked it, very snappy, great screen. The device comes preloaded with ICS on it, it's VERY snappy with zero lag so far.The screen while not a retina display like the iPad is still clear enough for me. After all I'm not holding this inches from my face. if you do you get a chance to play with 1 of these before you buy go to... 5/5 J. Haggard (Nashville, TN) - See all my reviews, April 22, 2012

Why I prefer the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 to the Kindle Fire

I have a and do enjoy using it (for the most part) -- love the form factor, enjoy the apps that I can get for it and am very pleased with the Kindle eReader app and ability to share books across all our Kindles. But when we were offered an opportunity to check out the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 a few days early, we jumped at the chance. The Kindle Fire is great at what it does, but its custom Android O/S, non-standard Web browser, limited selection of apps, lack of expandable storage and lack of Bluetooth support leave me cold.*Browser Issues*I've experienced multiple issues trying to browse web sites with the Kindle's Silk browser which work fine on the Galaxy Tab 2 and other full-fledged Android devices. Although Flash videos can be played on the Kindle Fire (if you enable Flash in the Silk browser's setting... 5/5 Chris Boylan "MrBoylan" (Astoria, NY USA) - See all my reviews, April 23, 2012

    Breakthrough Price & Value

This is a brand new product from Samsung that breaks the $250 price barrier. There are a lot of tablets at or below this price but they are mostly very low end devices with slow CPUs, poor screens and built for non-US markets. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 makes none of the compromises typical of this price point and provides the same kind of performance you'd expect from the rest of the Samsung Galaxy Tab portfolio. It's fast, slick, has a great screen and even has Android 4.03 (Ice Cream Sandwich). I do like the new operating system and adapted to it in minutes. In addition to front & rear cameras there is bluetooth and even an IR blaster so you can use it as a remote for your TV. It only took a minute to set that up and get a program guide downloaded. All the apps on my Gingerbread phone loaded up to the Tab and run fine on the ICS platform. I can't comment on battery life yet as I plugged it for the initial charge and setup and haven't run on battery yet. One hell of a tablet

*** Updated 5/8/2014 - if you're using Dolphin Browser with Adobe Flash player do yourself a favor and do NOT update Dolphin Browser if prompted to in the Google PlayStore. It seems like every time they update Dolphin there's a chance for Flash to no longer work without jumping through more hoops ***I come from a Windows OS background and I'm an ex-Apple iPhone (now Galaxy Note 2) and iPad user. I've been waiting a long time for a tablet like this to be released: a large screen, expandable memory and the freedom of Android. Thanks to my Note 2 I have a little over a years of experience with Android OS but I knew what to expect from the Note Pro 12.2. Originally I had my eyes set on the , after months of waiting and playing I decided to bite the bullet and buy it. Just before... 5/5 C. Carmona - See all my reviews, February 24, 2014

Not too big. great functionality for someone on the road or just at home

First let me say that I am an ex-apple customer that demanded more options and over time have switched from the iPhone to Note 3 and from an ipad to the Surface Pro and now to the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. For those that have a Galaxy note phone, the Note Pro tablet is more than just a larger version of the same. The functionality is greater, the multitasking is excellent, and from both a personal and business use, it has met my every expectation. I will address a few areas of concern I had before purchase to try and help anyone that may be feeling the way I was.SIZE - my job has me on the road marketing every day. This tablet, to me, is portable enough to not be a problem or feel like I am lugging around something uncomfortable. I carry a clip board with a few forms and the note pro 12.2 in a slip cover case (until I can get my hands on the book cover case which is back ordered). When I read the initial reviews I was terrified to buy this thing sight unseen as many talked... 5/5 GumbyR1 - See all my reviews This review is from: Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 (32GB, Black) (Personal Computers) First let me say that I am an ex-apple customer that demanded more options and over time have switched from the iPhone to Note 3 and from an ipad to the Surface Pro and now to the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. Great Tablet! Well worth the price! w/ Bonus Zagg keyboard review!

April 2014 Update:It has been over a month of usage with the 12.2 and I have to admit myexperience has become more and more positive.Things I am liking is the the stellar battery life, the way appsupdate to work better with 4.4os, the physical durability, the screensharpness/brightness, and the internet browsing experience.I love the multi-day battery power you get. I realize even with thescreen up at 80% brightness watching Netflix all day the battery stilltakes forever to drain. The only App that seemed to cause Batterydrain and slow recharging issue was Word-With-Friends, Blurb Checkoutand HP Printer Services. Once you delete those and make use of TaskManager to curb background activity everything improves. Also keepingGPS Antenna off helps.Apps seem to be updating regularly to work smoother on 4.4os and toalso support the multi window display. So now more apps can be... 5/5 Olaf Johnson (Anchorage, AK 99505) - See all my reviews, March 8, 2014

Five things you'll want to know about this tablet

    1. A mouse!Ok, so I was amazed. Yes, with a Bluetooth mouse connected, an arrow icon actually appears on the screen and you can use it pretty much like any mouse on a conventional PC. I’m using the Microsoft Sculpt Touch mouse but any Bluetooth one will work. You can also connect a keyboard at the same time.2. Limited amount of accessories and ridiculous prices thereofBecause of its newness, there are a limited number of accessories and cases for this tablet. Furthermore, I guess because companies like Zagg and Logitech believe you're willing to overpay for the tablet, they can charge you a premium for accessories. $129 for a keyboard/case? You must be kidding.3. Amazon video/Flash player:Streaming video from your Amazon account is hard. I was accustomed to using Amazon's streaming video app on the iPad to watch tv shows and movies I get from Amazon. There is no such app for Android devices. It can be done via the installation of an... 5/5 Fairfieldwizard (Jacksonville) - See all my reviews This review is from: Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 4G LTE Tablet, Black 12.2-Inch 32GB (Verizon Wireless) (Wireless Phone) 1. Great tablet and for me an Ultrabook replacement

First a little about me and the way I use my computing devices. I am a business traveler who spends 80% of his time on the road. I fly every week. I own a Samsung Note 3 which is my go to device for communication and email when I'm not at a desk or hotel room. I use it constantly and since most of my time is spent with only the phone in hand, I do a lot of document reviews on the Note 3. I also have a Kindle Fire HDX8.9 which I love for its speed, size and integration with Amazon Prime as I watch a lot of movies to kill time on my weekly flights. I also own but don't use the original Samsung 10.1 Tablet which I retired when I purchased the fire. So I'm pretty familiar with Samsung mobile products and Touchwiz. My laptop is a Asus Zen Ultrabook which is an I7 machine with 256k SSD. The computer's processing power is great but the weak points are the display and the keyboard.I played with the Note Pro 12.2 LTE a few times and quickly noticed how fast it was in... 4/5 Bill Esposito (NH USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 4G LTE Tablet, Black 12.2-Inch 32GB (Verizon Wireless) (Wireless Phone) First a little about me and the way I use my computing devices. A Beast of a Tablet!

I originally owned a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition tablet, and it worked great, but I was hoping for something bigger, so when this tablet was announced I was annoyed and overjoyed all at once (annoyed because had Samsung announced it sooner, I would have not purchased the 10.1 2014 Edition).I picked the LTE version because it was easier for me to get it from Verizon on a payment plan (Device Payment Plan, only available in Verizon stores, not online).Once I got it home and started to play with it, I realized there would be a new learning curve for this tablet, similar to the 10.1 2014 Edition. While the button placement is the same, one of the buttons has been changed from "Menu" to "Recent Apps" (This is also the case on their newer phones starting with the Galaxy S5). That took some getting used to (actually still getting used to it lol). Also, the size was an adjustment as well, as it is not as easy to hold as a 10.1" tablet, but you... 5/5 G.
