  not sure what to say

  I bought this a month ago and I love the tablet however I let it go a week without charging it even though I had it turned off the battery was drained and ran the battery completely out. I now have left this tablet blugged since wed 3/28/12 at 11 am and it is now the 30th and it is still a yellow light and will not come on. When I call customer service they keep telling me to let it plugged in for another day to fully charge since the light is yellow means not fully charged yet. Duahhhh poeple I know this. However before when it was a yellow light I could still turn on tablet and use it while plugged in and now it will not even come on. They now say I may need a new battery. Hmmm already Not sure weather to scream or just deal with it since you get what you get when you pay the price I did. So I will give it tell like 4pm today and if the light does not change to green and I cannot turn it back on I will call yet again I have never seen a product take this long to charge fully even... 4/5 Anna Klein - See all my reviews, March 30, 2012

  Very basic

  This tablet is quite heavy, that is the first thing you will notice. Next, it has a front-facing camera only. That doesn't work for taking pics because you can't see what you're taking a picture of. The front facing camera should be to skype on, but skype doesn't work on this tablet. I downloaded it, but it doesn't work. After doing some research, I found I wasn't the only one- skype doesn't work on this tablet. If you don't care about skyping, it's probably a decent tablet for the money. Still, I don't think I would recommend it, especially with iPads dropping in price. 2/5 L.   Excellent Affordable Product

  The 9 G2 has been great worked with for a week now and couldn't be happier! The IPS 9.7 inch screen is the same as on the ipad 2, great viewing angles and the 4:3 ratio is much better for reading books, web surfing, and gaming. Movies look great there will be black bars because of the ratio but the viewing angle and option to play any format is fantastic. I have tried avi, mp4, and mkv all play without hesitation. This is better than my ipad 2 because of the fact it can accept a usb flash drive and a 32gb micro sd card!!! No more worrying about filling up the hard drive with my movies and high res photos... My 9 G2 did not ship with any bloatware and it came without any app store. I have side loaded facebook, the old skype that works with this and coby tablets, all apk files found through Google within seconds. Just put them on a flash drive and install to tablet.   A fancy MP3 player and Internet browser at this point

  I have been messing with my Arnova for over a week now. I have talked to Amazon and Overdrive Media Console tech support to determine why it will not run the Amazon Appstore, Kindle or OMC app's. I bought this machine thinking I would have a reader that also acted as a tablet. Right now, I have a tablet that plays music and allows me to surf the net but it will not run any of the Amazon apps and I cannot get it to run OMC so you can download free books from the library. These are 2 of the most important reasons I bought the machine and they are not working.The enclosed documentation is minimal, little more than a diagram of the controls. I have contacted Arnova twice via their automated support line and received no response even though it says you will hear from them within 2 business days. The device seems to start lagging once it has been on for a while, a shutdown and reboot brings it back but it is a pain.   I recently purchased this item because it was on sale at an unbelievable price. I knew that I was not buying an iPad and that it would be somewhat limited by Android 2.1. However, I wanted something other than my iPod touch to travel with and felt like this would fit the bill. If I didn't like it I would give it to a family member. I just returned from my first trip with it. I purchased a case that included a tablet keyboard and stylus (the keyboard was smart move). First thing I must say is this: charge it up over night before attempting to use it. Once it gets the initial full charge you should be in business. Like a kid I plugged it in and started trying to use it...FRUSTRATING!   Slow responsive touch screen

  I bought this tablet from JR.com via Amazon. When I got it, I spent a few hours on: checking responsiveness of the touch screen, installing apps, and testing speed. I have a HTC Evo 4G with android 2.2. So I compare this tablet with the performance with my cell phone.Touch screen: the responsiveness is fairly under expectation. I kept getting missing letters when typing. Slow response when click a link in web browser. Comparing with my cell phone, this tablet is unacceptable.Apps: I tried to install two apps which I installed on my cellphone. Those two apps worked perfectly on my HTC phone. However, both apps kept crashing on this tablet. No built in app store preinstalled on it. Not convenient.Speed: I used three devices with the same WiFi hotspot to test web browsing speed. Laptop, cellphone, and tablet. This tablet is way too slow comparing with the other two devices when loading an average page, not image intensive.   It's a 4.5/5 star product but I'm rounding up because of the price/performance/value factor.This is an excellent tablet for the price. About as good as it gets in this price range. I purchased from Amazon right after Christmas 2011 for $158. It's a steal at it's current price of $136 through Amazon Marketplace!It's not an Ipad or Samsung Galaxy Tab so don't expect that kind of power or features at this price point. This tablet would probably suit that majority of users just fine. After a month of ownership I'm still very pleased for the amount I spent. I have a relative who has had one just as long and loves it. It gets used 2-4 hours everyday.A note on Amazon App Store and Android Market.I've read some negative reviews and forum posts about it not having Android Market factory installed.   Better Than Expected! The Kids Love It!

  I purchased 2 of these back in November as Christmas presents for my kids, ages 3 and 7. I connected them to my home network very easily, downloaded a bunch of learning games and other games I figured they'd like before Christmas. I used the Arnova AppsLib app store, but have since added the Amazon appstore to the Arnova because apparently the AppsLib store crashed after Christmas and I wasn't able to download anything else...Amazon has more choices anyway.Both of the kids love their little tablets. My 3 year old boy plays Angry Birds, memory games, shape, color and number games. He also watches movies...for some reason he seems to love the Buck the Bunny short movie that came preloaded. My 7 year old daughter does princess puzzles, plays Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, watches movies, makes movies with the built-in camera, and listens to her music.BATTERY: The battery seems to be pretty good.   I got this on Dec. 16, 2011 as a Christmas gift for myself.... I do not believe it will make it under the tree. I can not put it down. I Love it and it works great for the price. I made sure I also purchased the 2 year warranty because of some of the complaints I see, but I honestly don't think I will need it.All those complaining maybe should have spent the money for the apple stuff that comes out every couple of months...IDKAll I know is that I can browse the full web, which I wanted for my gossip sites...lol and shopping and catching up on the U.S. news. At this price any other "tablet" will give you limited web and maybe some social sites. This is full interactive internet.It connects to wifi well and the touch screen calibrates almost every time you turn it on to make sure there is not a problem with the touch.   I am known as Gadget Queen to my family and friends. I have helped many of them to fulfill their electronic needs. I recently had an opportunity to set up and use the Arnova Tablet for a friend.   Does what I want at a good price

  I want to be thorough on this review because I realize I'm the first one. I took a leap of faith buying this with no review, something I won't typically do.I've had this now for a few weeks. My original idea was I wanted a tablet that I could put my guitar music on and have it at a good enough size that I could still read it from a little distance, plus maybe have the ability to view entertainment or surf the web while on vacation or traveling --- all without paying an arm and a leg. At $200 I am fairly pleased with my purchase. No, it's not a high end device like an iPad, but I don't want to pay $500+ for this. I'll also say this is my first Android device, although my wife has a Nook Tablet and I've played around with that a little.The capacitive screen is responsive. You just have to lightly touch it and you can pinch and flick and stuff like that. I looked up reviews on this tablet and many said it was slow, no google play, and the appslib store has little apps. WELL, I disagree with all those except the last one!!!! This tablet is pretty FAST, faster then my ipod touch 4th gen. I mean its not lighting speed, but takes about 2 seconds to load a google search/ web page change. This tablet doesn't ship with Android market (google play) but you can get it on the tablet, look it up on youtube. a MUCH EASIER way to get the apps in google play is to search 1mobile apps on google, click on the one describing apps, and install that app store onto your tablet, you now have access to 99% of the apps in google play. I've also seen others stating the quality of materials used to make this tablet are cheap. I again disagree, it may be plastic, but it feels as if it'll survive a short fall (4ft max).   Not happy at all - this does not fit the Arnova 10

  The power adapter cord that this person is selling does not work with the Arnova 10 G2. Although we received it very quickly, it came in a zip lock bag and the plug does not even fit into the arnova. My son was hoping it would arrive quickly as he plans on using his tablet in middle school to do research. He called me very disappointed today that it is not the right charger.
